The situation

The first business. A hands-on beginning.

I joined as a co-founder to build the website and handle operations. My partner handled financing and manufacturer ordering. I created the branding, Shopify store, Instagram presence, and advertising content.

What needed doing

Turn a highly visual product into a working store, then offer a clear way for customers to personalize their lightsabers using our in-house laser etcher.

The result

A store connected to fulfillment.

A launched product business with a Shopify storefront and paid personalization tied to an in-house engraving workflow. The work gave me direct experience with both the customer interface and what happens after an order.

What I did.

Create the storefront and identity

Built the Shopify website, product pages, visual identity, and content used to introduce the business.

Make personalization part of the order

Configured an add-on experience where customers could preview text, choose a font or preset image, and pay an additional engraving fee. This used a Shopify product add-on app, rather than a claimed custom-coded engine.

Connect the screen to the workshop

The selected engraving information came through with the order, so the team could print the packing slip and laser etch the requested design in-house.

From the project

The order continues in the workshop.

The storefront used a Shopify add-on to capture paid engraving choices. Those details travelled with the order into an in-house laser-etching workflow. These original workshop clips show the physical personalization stage; they are not recordings of the online selector.
